-Its good to have active students. Getting them involved in the learning helps them really enjoy what they are learning, making it easier to retain information.

Orientations:
1. Helpless - "can't do it" - unstable internal
2. Performance - not focused on process, but focussed on the outcome
3. Mastery - form of intrinsic motivation - focused on the task (skills)
- improved performance - positive effect (enjoyment) - curiosity and enjoyment
